The edit rule
Meta's branded content rules do not allow paying someone to post content they had no hand in making. So a RUCKUS brief on Instagram never accepts a raw repost, however good the moment. The clip has to be cut, captioned and framed by you. That is also the clip that performs, so the rule costs nothing.
The label
Instagram's paid partnership label is the platform's own disclosure tool. It goes on every paid Reel, beside the disclosure in the caption. A paid Reel without the label is a denial with that reason.
What Meta demotes
| Behaviour | What happens |
|---|---|
| Asking for likes, follows or shares in the post | Demoted. Never in a Reels caption |
| Reposting content with a visible watermark from another platform | Named as unoriginal; reach drops for the account, not only the post |
| Mirroring or cropping to dodge duplicate detection | Named as insufficient |
| Photoreal AI video or realistic AI audio without the AI label | Required to carry Meta's AI label |
Originality is judged at the account level, so one account of reposts drags every clip on it.
Length, format and the caption
Nine by sixteen, ten to thirty seconds for a reaction beat, captions burned in. The disclosure in the first lines of the caption, where it is unavoidable, and the not-affiliated line wherever GTA appears.
FAQ
Can I add the paid partnership label after posting?
Yes, but the clip is reviewed as posted. Add it before you submit the link.
Do Reels pay from a creator fund?
Not for paid clips. The campaign budget is the entire pot.
Can I use the buyer's logo?
Only if the brief supplies it and says so. The footage-rights line in the brief names what you may use.
