RUCKUS / Retainer clipping
Retainer clipping.
Our second service. In a clipper network campaign, many clippers post your clips on their own accounts. In retainer clipping, our own editors post on yours: 2 clips a day, with the plan, the scripts and the posting handled, on pages that stay yours.
What you get each month.
From $1,500 a month. One invoice at the start of the month, no budget to fund and no fixed term.
2 clips a day
Our editors cut 2 clips a day from footage you own and post them on your accounts, every day of the month. That is about 60 clips.
A plan and the scripts
We decide what goes out each week around your streams, events, updates and releases, and we write the opening line of every clip. The page gets a direction, and you stop working through a backlog.
We run the accounts
Posting, captions and tags. You approve the style once, from two sample clips, and we keep it going. You can stop any clip before it is posted.
Pages you own
The accounts are in your name. When the retainer ends, the pages, the clips and the audience stay with you.
A report every Friday
What went out, the views on each clip at 48 hours and at 7 days, what worked, and what we change next week. Bad news goes first.
Which service fits you.
A campaign gets your clips onto other people's accounts fast. A retainer builds your own. You can run one, or both at once.
| Clipper network campaign | Retainer clipping | |
|---|---|---|
| Who makes the clips | Clippers in the network, as many as the campaign brings in | Our own editors, the same ones every week |
| Where the clips go | On the clippers' own accounts, to audiences you do not have yet | On your own accounts, which grow and stay yours |
| What you pay | A budget from $3,000 that you fund in your own Content Rewards account, plus our fee: 20% of that budget, invoiced separately | From $1,500 a month, on one invoice |
| What the money buys | Views. Clippers are paid for the eligible views their clips get, at the rate you set | A fixed amount of work: 2 clips a day, the plan and the posting |
| Good for | A launch, an event or a release, when you want reach quickly | Growing a page over months |
| What we promise | A decision on every clip inside 24 hours, and a report every Friday | Every clip delivered, or credited on your next invoice |
| What we never promise | A number of views | A number of views |
Running both: the campaign sends new viewers your way during a launch, and the retainer gives them a page worth following when they arrive. How a campaign runs →
How it starts.
Five steps. The first three take about three days.
You send a link to your footage
Streams, recordings of events, trailers, podcasts or videos. We watch it before we talk, then tell you how many clips it can carry and whether a retainer is worth your money.
Day 0We cut two sample clips and write a one-page plan
The plan names the pages, what goes out each week and what a good month looks like. You approve the style before anything is posted.
Days 1 to 3You give us access to post
You add us through each platform's own team settings where the platform has them, or we set up new accounts in your name. Either way the pages are yours, and you can remove us at any time.
Day 32 clips a day, and a report every Friday
When the footage is a live stream or an event, each clip goes out within 48 hours of the moment it shows.
Every dayMonth to month
The invoice goes out at the start of each month and is paid by card or bank account. Tell us before the next invoice and the retainer stops. The pages stay with you.
Each month
What we promise, and what we do not.
- Every clip delivered, or credited. Any clip we miss comes off your next invoice.
- No promised view count. Nobody controls what a platform shows people. We report the views, change the plan from what the report says, and tell you plainly if a retainer is not working.
- Your footage only. Clips come from broadcasts and recordings you own or have permission to use, written into a one-page footage letter. For a GTA server or streamer that means your own streams and events, never Rockstar's trailers and never anything leaked.
- Paid posts say so. If a clip on your page promotes someone who paid you, the clip carries the disclosure on screen and in the caption.
- No bought views or followers. We never buy either, for you or for us.
Smaller ways to start.
A full retainer is more than a new server or a small channel needs. These use the same editors and the same report, with fewer clips.
| Offer | Price | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Clip pack, 8 clips a month | $250 a month | For roleplay servers and new creators. Our editors cut 8 clips from footage you point us to, and the clips go on your accounts |
| Clip pack, 20 clips a month | $450 a month | 20 clips, one update or event video, and for a server, its monthly player chart from the census |
| Launch or wipe pack | $150, once | 8 clips around one date: a server launch, a wipe or an event. Half is paid before, half on delivery |
| Proving run | Free for 14 days | 8 clips for a creator or server we choose. We run two at a time. The price that follows is written in our first message, and you owe nothing if you stop at day 14 |
We choose proving runs from the daily census and from the channels we watch. You can ask for one on the contact page; say what you run and link your footage.
Questions about retainers.
What is retainer clipping?
Retainer clipping is the second RUCKUS service. Our own editors run your short-video pages for a monthly fee: they cut and post 2 clips a day on accounts you own, plan what goes out, write the opening lines and send a report every Friday. It starts at $1,500 a month.
How is it different from a clipping campaign?
In a campaign, clippers in the network post your clips on their own accounts and are paid for views out of a budget you fund. In a retainer, our editors post on your accounts for a fixed monthly fee. A campaign reaches new audiences quickly. A retainer builds a page you own.
Can I run both?
Yes. They are billed separately. The campaign budget sits in your own Content Rewards account with our 20% fee on a separate invoice, and the retainer is its own monthly invoice.
What does $1,500 cover?
One brand, server or creator: 2 clips a day, posted to up to three platforms, with the plan, the scripts, the posting and the Friday report. More pages, more clips or longer edits are quoted in writing before you pay anything.
Who owns the accounts and the clips?
You do. The accounts are in your name, the clips are made from your footage, and both stay with you when the retainer ends.
Do you guarantee views?
No. We guarantee the work: every clip delivered, or credited on your next invoice. We report the views each Friday and change the plan from what the report says.
What footage do you need?
Long video you own or have permission to use: streams, event recordings, trailers, podcasts, interviews. One link is enough to start. We watch it first and tell you how many clips it can carry.
How do I pay?
One invoice at the start of each month, paid by card or bank account on a secure payment page. There is no budget to fund, no platform account to open and no fixed term.
Is there a free trial?
For a few. We run a free 14-day proving run of 8 clips for creators and servers we choose, two at a time, and we state the price that follows before the first clip.
