How RUCKUS decides which roleplay servers to contact

A server gaining players is a server spending on growth. The census turns that into a list, dated, with the noise removed, and every message RUCKUS sends starts from a number the owner can check.

Quick answer. RUCKUS counts every public FiveM server once a day. Growth between two captures taken at the same time of day makes a ranking, servers with fewer than 15 players on the first day are dropped, and the ones between 40 and 400 players that grew fastest go to the top of the list. Ten owners get a message a day, each with the server's own numbers in it.

Most outreach in this niche opens with "I saw your server". Ours opens with the count.

The method

  1. One capture a day, 11:00 Pacific. Every public server's player count, slot count, locale and tags. Each file is checksummed the day it is taken.
  2. Two captures, compared. Growth is the difference between the first and latest captures taken inside the morning window. Captures taken at other times are kept but never compared; they measure a different part of the day.
  3. The noise floor. A server with fewer than 15 players on the first day is excluded from percentages, because 5 to 15 players is a 200% gain that means nothing.
  4. The band. Servers with 40 to 400 players at capture time go to the top of the list. Below 40, a campaign is too early. Above 400, the owner usually has an editor already, and the pitch changes.
  5. The language. Each server's declared locale is recorded, because a Portuguese server needs a Portuguese message and a Portuguese clipper.

What the list looked like on 8 September

Server3 Sep8 SepGain
BRASIL CAPITAL ROLEPLAY (pt-BR)47281+234
URZR (en-US)19109+90
JING BATTLEGROUND (id-ID)28138+110
LotusRP 5.0 (nl-NL)2699+73
Racon Roleplay (tr-TR)1972+53

Five days of movement, in the 40-to-400 band, fastest first. Three of the ten fastest were Brazilian, which is why the first non-English message RUCKUS writes is in Portuguese.

What the message says

The server's own count on two dates, the growth between them, and one question: what the owner wants more of. No earnings figures, no promised views, no GTA 6 roleplay date, and the not-affiliated line at the bottom. Three to seven touches per prospect, each adding something new, and a stop at the first no.

Note. The census data is not for sale. Cfx.re's terms on reuse have not been read, and RUCKUS does not sell a dataset before checking the terms it was collected under. The list is a tool for our own outreach and a figure your campaign report can stand against.

FAQ

My server is not on the list. Can I still run a campaign?

Yes. The list decides who we message first; it does not decide who we work with. Tell us what you run and we look up your count the same day.

Do you share other servers' numbers with me?

Only what is public on the server list at the moment of capture, which anyone can see. We do not share outreach notes, replies or anything a server owner told us.

Why 11:00 Pacific?

It is the same minute every day, which is what makes days comparable. It is evening in Europe and mid-afternoon in Brazil, so the count leans toward those regions, and the language shares reflect that.

Tell us what you run.

A server, a channel, a brand or a label. Say what it is and what you want more of, and you get a real answer within a day. If we are the wrong fit, we say so.
