Copyright notices and takedowns
Ruckus Clipping · Effective 7 November 2026 · The notice-and-takedown process of 17 U.S.C. 512, in plain language.What this covers
The pages RUCKUS writes, anything a visitor contributes to this site, and the links this site publishes to clips, campaigns and other sites. RUCKUS removes or disables access to material when it receives a notice that meets the list below, logs the notice, and tells the person who posted the material when it can reach them.
A clip posted on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X or Kick is hosted by that platform, and that platform's copyright process handles it. A clip made for a campaign on Content Rewards also falls under that platform's copyright policy. RUCKUS can tell you where a campaign clip was posted.
Where to send a notice
RUCKUS's designated agent for copyright notices: email ruckus@ruckusclipping.com with the subject "Copyright notice". Postal address: published once the studio mailbox is open. The agent's listing in the U.S. Copyright Office's DMCA Designated Agent Directory is pending; this page is updated when it is filed.
What a notice must contain (17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3))
- Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorised to act for the owner of the copyright.
- The copyrighted work you say has been infringed, or a representative list if the notice covers several works.
- The material you say is infringing and where it is on this site, with enough detail for us to find it: the address of the page.
- How to reach you: an address, a telephone number and, if you have one, an email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
A notice missing one of these is answered with what is missing. Knowingly misrepresenting that material infringes carries liability under 17 U.S.C. 512(f).
What happens next
RUCKUS acts on a complete notice promptly, normally within one business day: the material comes down or the link is removed, the notice is logged with the date, and the person who posted the material is told and given a copy, where we can reach them.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address with: your physical or electronic signature; the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and telephone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which RUCKUS may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
RUCKUS forwards the counter-notice to that person. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action to keep the material down, RUCKUS restores it not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice (17 U.S.C. 512(g)).
Repeat infringers
RUCKUS ends the account and the posting rights of anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright on this site, and in appropriate circumstances after a single notice. In the RUCKUS Discord servers, leaked footage, leaked maps and links to leaks are deleted, and a repeat poster is banned.
Trademarks
Not affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Game names and other marks belong to their owners; RUCKUS names a game to describe what it clips.
