RUCKUS / Terms

Terms of service.

Plain terms for the two services RUCKUS sells. The platform's own terms govern the campaign account; these govern RUCKUS.

Who you are dealing with.

  • The operator. A California sole proprietorship doing business as RUCKUS Clipping (RUCKUS). Postal address: published once the studio mailbox is open. Email: ruckus@ruckusclipping.com.
  • Effective 7 November 2026. These terms apply to work RUCKUS agrees from that date. Each engagement also gets a one-page agreement that names the scope, the fee and the dates; where the two differ, the signed agreement wins.
  • The platform's terms are separate. A clipper network campaign runs in your own Content Rewards organization under that platform's organization terms, and clippers post under its creator terms. RUCKUS is not a party to either, and nothing here changes them.

The two services, and what each promise means.

  • Clipper network campaign. You fund a budget of $1,000 or more in your own Content Rewards account. RUCKUS writes the brief, brings clippers to it, reviews every submitted clip against the brief and reports weekly. RUCKUS never holds, pools or draws on the budget.
  • The studio fee. 20% of the approved budget, invoiced to you separately: $1,000 + $200 = $1,200 at the floor. The whole fee is due on signing, before work starts. When the fee is over $1,000 (a campaign above $5,000), half is due on signing and the rest on the schedule in the agreement. The fee is for RUCKUS's work on the campaign; whether any part of it is returned when a campaign stops early is written in the one-page agreement for that engagement.
  • Retainer clipping. From $1,500 a month, invoiced at the start of each month, month to month: RUCKUS editors post two clips a day on pages you own, from footage you own or have permission to use. Tell us before the next invoice to stop; the current month runs to its end.
  • "Delivered or credited." A clip counts as delivered when it is posted on your page on its scheduled day. Any scheduled clip RUCKUS does not post that month is credited at its share of that month's fee on your next invoice, or refunded if there is no next invoice.
  • Other offers. A clip pack, a launch pack or a proving run listed on the price sheet is a one-off at the price and scope shown there, under these same terms.

What RUCKUS does not promise.

  • No views, followers, sales or approvals. RUCKUS promises its work, not an outcome. No number of views, followers, signups, sales or approved clips is guaranteed, and nothing on these sites is an earnings claim for you or for a clipper.
  • The platform's decisions are the platform's. Approval timing, holds, refunds, bans and payouts on Content Rewards and Whop follow their terms. RUCKUS reviews clips against your brief and recommends; the platform's account controls and your own approvals decide what is paid.
  • No deals for creators. RUCKUS produces and distributes; RUCKUS does not find, pitch or negotiate sponsors, and any sponsor who contacts us is sent to you unopened.

What you warrant, and what each side owns.

  • Your footage and your claims. You own or control the footage, brand assets and claims you give RUCKUS for a brief, and the brief does not infringe anyone's rights. If a notice names a campaign clip, you answer for your footage; RUCKUS answers for what RUCKUS publishes on its own sites, through the copyright page.
  • Disclosure. Every paid clip carries the ad disclosure the campaign requires under the FTC's Endorsement Guides and the platform's rules. RUCKUS never asks a clipper to omit or hide one, and a clip without it is not approved.
  • Rights in the clips. Campaign clips are licensed to you under the platform's creator terms. Retainer clips are made from your footage on your pages: when the retainer ends, the pages, the clips and the audience stay with you.
  • Clippers. RUCKUS never charges a clipper to join, train or get paid. Anyone asking you to pay is not us. Clippers are 18 or older by self-attestation; RUCKUS collects no identity documents. A clipper who buys engagement or repeatedly infringes copyright is removed; the policy is on the copyright page.

Liability, law and changes.

  • Liability. RUCKUS's total liability to you for all claims arising from the services is capped at the fees you paid RUCKUS in the three months before the claim. RUCKUS is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, a platform's or a rightsholder's action against a clip or an account, or a platform outage. Nothing here limits a liability the law does not allow to be limited.
  • Law and venue. California law governs. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, and both sides accept that venue.
  • Changes. RUCKUS can change these terms. The date above changes, and a client with a running engagement is told by email before a change applies to them. If a court finds one clause unenforceable, the rest stands.
